B&C Medical College Teaching Hospital successfully hosted an intensive 2-day Primary Trauma Care (PTC) Training Program in collaboration with the Primary Trauma Care Foundation, led by esteemed faculty from BPKIHS - Prof. Dr. Gyanendra Bahadur Malla, Dr. Ritesh Chaudhary, Dr. Ajay Kumar Yadav, along with facilitators Dr. Mirichhya Ghimire, Dr. Suraj Sarki, and Dr. Riyaz Khan.
Day 1 focused on vital topics including local trauma perspectives, PTC overview, ABCDE of trauma, airway & breathing management, circulation & shock, chest injuries, and hands-on skill stations covering basic & advanced airways, cervical spine logroll, chest drain, intraosseous/intravenous cannulation, and trauma scenario demonstrations.
Through programs like these, we continue our commitment to enhance emergency trauma care capacity and ensure quality patient outcomes in our community.
