Nutrition and Dietetics department of B&C is designed keeping in mind the importance of nutrition and diet for a healthy life. It was established in Magh 15 2077 B.S. Nutrition and proper diet are essential to keep an individual or society healthy, to prevent diseases as well and to protect patients from complications of the disease. The main aim of Dietetics department is to provide counseling to the OPD patients regarding different disease conditions, to counsel in-patients of different wards who need intervention, to conduct procurement procedure and to conduct round of dietician in most of the wards of B&C. Besides these B&C provides food services to the in-patients according to their diseased state, co morbidities and their routes of feedings.

Therefore, the main function of this department is to provide evidence based scientific and practical nutrition services not only to healthy and diseased individuals but also to social and private organizations and groups.
