The Physiotherapy Department has been providing its services since 2015 B.S., establishing itself as a center of excellence in rehabilitation for the eastern region of Nepal. Over the years, it has evolved into a state-of-the-art facility, offering top-quality physiotherapy services to patients in eastern Nepal.
Common conditions treated by the department include trauma, sports injuries, spinal trauma, hand injuries, degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis of the knee and hip, pediatric physiotherapy issues, and neurological problems. With continuous advancements, the department is transforming into a cutting-edge facility.
With the establishment of Purbanchal Cancer Hospital, a sister organization of B & C Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre, the department also caters to the physiotherapy needs of cancer patients. Experienced physiotherapists provide both outpatient and inpatient services around the clock.
The department is well-equipped with modern physiotherapy tools such as Traction, TENS, IFT, Hydrocollator, Wax Bath, Physio Ball, Ultrasound, and Muscle Stimulator. In addition to clinical services, the department actively engages in academic activities, including Seminars, CMEs, Weekly Classes, and hosting national conferences.
